New SBB Railway Station Baar
Railway travel centre, kiosk, retail
The newly constructed railway station complex in Baar consists of several buildings connected by a long platform roof. On the ground floor of the new station building, there is an SBB travel office in a "shop-in-shop" concept with a kiosk as well as additional infrastructure rooms. The upper floor houses office spaces. In close proximity to the new station building are the platform accesses, the underpass, a ramp and the bicycle parking hall.
As a particular technical challenge, the combined railway and building grounding had to be ensured.
