The existing building systems of the University Hospital Zurich are reaching their capacity limits. Therefore, the cantonal construction authority of Zurich and the University Hospital are building a new technical center between the East wing and the South Magnetic Resonance Center. This ensures the provision of basic building services with energy as well as cooling and heat recovery, which is crucially important for hospital operations.
