The school building Berg 2, constructed shortly after 1950, was supplemented in the 1990s with a stairwell extension and an elevator. The wall surfaces and ceilings, except in the top floor, were only repainted and patched during the fire protection renovation in 2007. Some classrooms were renovated in the 1980s, i.e. repainted and new floor coverings installed. The cloakroom areas, gymnasium and auxiliary rooms still bear the original wall construction today. School building Berg 2 shows wall cracks and traces of countless repair work. To preserve value and as a comprehensive solution for years to come, only a complete renovation is appropriate. For operational reasons, it is advisable to link the work with the conversion to realize the "group rooms new secondary school".
