Renovation ETH Zurich-Hönggerberg HPH Physics Lecture Hall

The lecture hall building Physics, created by architect A.H. Steiner between 1968 and 1973 as part of the 1st expansion phase of Hönggerberg, required urgent renovation.
From an urban planning perspective, the HPH building at Hönggerberg stands at the interface between different construction periods.
With its volumetric design, the lecture hall building presents a very dominant appearance in a central location. During the renovation, therefore, careful attention was paid to preserving both the architectural character and the design expression representative of that era.
