On the south bank of the Rhine in Rheinfelden, a mixed-use development with apartments, shops, offices and housing for elderly people was built on the former site of the Cardinal Brewery, formerly Salmenbräu. Particularly preserved was the malt tower, in which nine spectacular lofts were created. In the former Waldhaus, residential studios were created suitable for living and working under one roof.
