Rudolf Steiner School Münchenstein
The Rudolf Steiner School Münchenstein (RSSM) is the youngest Steiner school in the Basel region. It was founded in 1989 by parents whose children could no longer find places at the Basel Rudolf Steiner School on the Jakobsberg. In 1993 it moved into the building of the former Haas typefoundry in Münchenstein. The original factory building – a cellular structure with cross vaults and a large inner courtyard with three linden trees – gives the school a distinctive character.
The Rudolf Steiner School Münchenstein is open to children from all social backgrounds, regardless of worldview, religious or political orientation. Our school is also a place of encounter. Concerts, theatre performances, seasonal festivals and lectures enrich school life.
