New Building Disability Workshop St. Jakob

The St. Jakob Disability Workshop Foundation was established over 100 years ago. It provides a workplace for over 400 people with disabilities in today's Aussersihl district. For years, the foundation has been reaching the limits of its infrastructure. The building on Kanzleistrasse in Zurich, constructed in 1976, met neither operational, structural nor energy requirements of today. Above all, there was also a lack of contiguous work areas necessary for efficient work processes. These reasons, as well as economic factors, necessitated a new and larger operational building.
