The Amtshaus Werdplatz on Strassburgstrasse in Zurich is being renovated and spatially optimized. Construction period from November 2014 to June 2016.
The project primarily involves the renewal of outdated building systems and structural adaptation to the operational needs of the new users. The sustainable renovation includes a transition to renewable energy sources for heat generation. Summer heat protection is also being improved. The spatial adaptations required by a modern administrative facility with customer service areas are being implemented while ensuring the flexibility to respond to staffing changes in the medium term. Fire protection measures are being upgraded in accordance with regulatory requirements and the building is being retrofitted with a smoke pressure system.
