New Primary School and Sports Hall Erlenmatt

The new building closes the existing building gap adjacent to the Erlentor residential development and will form the entrance to the new district in the south. The staggered volume with its varied outdoor spaces minimizes the impact of shadowing on neighboring buildings and mediates between the different building heights. The triple gymnasium is lit by skylights and the roof serves as a playground level. The kindergarten is integrated into the school building but has its own entrance and outdoor area on the ground floor. The arrangement of rooms and usable corridor areas allows for contemporary school operations with modern teaching methods. All classrooms have an adjacent group room. Various roof terraces are available to the school for breaks and teaching purposes. The assembly hall, located on the top floor as a distinctive building conclusion, can also be used for evening events.
