On the outer edge of the Basel district of St. Johann, right next to the French border and just a few minutes' drive from the airport, a golden cube stands out from the landscape: the Airport Hotel Basel. The architects of the Fankhauser office in Reinach realized the new accommodation with great sensitivity to visual impact. The building stands out from other buildings with its golden-shimmering railing cladding and brings a touch of glitter world to the outer district dominated by industrial towers and major construction sites.
The interior of the hotel was decorated according to the ideas of designer Sybille de Margerie from Paris with floral patterns, special color combinations and original details.
