The Theilerstrasse 1c (TH1c) building is undergoing comprehensive renovation to meet current requirements and uses. The building was constructed in the 1970s and expanded in the 1990s.
The outer zone will now be used for permanent workstations for employees, the next zone as a horizontal circulation area, and the inner zone for occasionally used spaces. The core zone is used for building services, sanitary facilities, and primarily vertical circulation. The basement, as well as the 4th and 5th floors, contain laboratories and supply rooms that will remain in operation throughout the entire renovation. The entire building is characterized by extremely sustainable planning using BIM technology. From energy management to water consumption to the building materials used and building services – everything is planned and implemented in a resource-efficient manner so that the building will receive a LEED Gold V4 (+4.1) certification.
