Next to the existing Schadau sports hall, a modern double sports hall with classrooms for visual arts education is being built. The winning project "Kanzen" from the 2020/21 architecture competition combines sustainable timber construction with a carefully designed outdoor area. The total costs amount to 20.6 million CHF. Construction work began in 2023, with completion planned for spring 2025. The new facility will significantly improve the sports and educational infrastructure of Gymnasium Thun and set modern standards in architecture and sustainability.
