On 1 October 2009, the Bauarena – Centre for Innovative Building – was opened in Volketswil. Behind it lies an idea that is as innovative as it is compelling: to concentrate renowned providers of the building and furnishing industry in a single, permanent interregional exhibition – over 100 providers present over 1000 innovative building ideas in the Bauarena.
