Linde

The new development «Linde» on the former post office site in the center of Kreuzlingen upgrades the axis to Bahnhofstrasse in terms of urban design. The architecture by Raumfindung Architekten is characterized by a striking, ten-story head building approximately 30 meters high with a meandering building form and residential façades structured by vertical mineral lightweight pilasters; the structure was precisely planned around the protected root system of a 17-meter-high winter linden tree. Technically, the compact new building with 60 rental apartments and approximately 500 m² of retail and postal space features a highly efficient energy standard in accordance with the strict sustainability criteria of SGNI/DGNB certification.
