The new construction of the Sport, Leisure and Care Centre «Rain» (SFB) in Ittigen replaces the sports facilities and old festival hall in need of renovation. The architecture of the winning project «Janua» restructures the site: a sunken, divisible triple sports hall with spectator stands forms the sports centre. Technically and spatially, the sustainable, compactly structured building combines highly efficient sports facilities with modern, light-filled all-day school areas, a catering kitchen and a flexible multipurpose room for fitness and care.
