The comprehensive renovation of the four-storey apartment building in the urban Holligen district maximizes internal densification for affordable housing. The architecture transforms the existing loggias through new, freestanding balcony towers facing west. Technically, the building is converted to district heating, made barrier-free accessible, and equipped with a high-performance roof-integrated photovoltaic system as part of a joint self-consumption scheme (ZEV).
