Architect's Vision
In the middle of the village and yet surrounded by greenery. At the edge of the village centre of Unter-Illnau, the two new multi-family houses form a quarter closure along the Kempt. On one side, the apartments open onto a quiet, sunny green space that invites you to linger, with a view of the historic village centre. On the other side, you can overlook and enjoy the open, undeveloped river space.
The size of the buildings and the facade materials of wood and plaster adopt the language of the historic building substance of the neighbourhood, but are deliberately implemented in a contemporary manner. The result is an independent, high-quality and modern architecture that engages in dialogue with the existing old buildings and creates a harmonious whole.
