Migros production facility for margarines, fats, detergents and cleaning products
Among the first manufacturing operations of Migros was Gifa AG, later Mifa AG, which began producing detergents and cleaning products as well as margarines and fat products in the 1930s. In the 1960s, Mibelle AG was founded, specializing in the manufacture of personal care and beauty products.
Today, Mibelle Group operates as a full-service provider for the production of private label products in three business areas: Personal Care, Home Care and Nutrition. Through the Mibelle Group Brands business area, it is also involved in the development and management of exclusive brands in the cosmetics sector. Mibelle Group Biochemistry operates as an independent business area specializing in the research and development of active ingredients for cosmetic applications and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide in the cosmetics industry. Mibelle Group ranks number three on the European market for private label manufacturers. The group employs around 1,000 employees and generates sales in the order of EUR 328 million.
