The new building of the Quantum Matter and Material Center (QMMC) at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI) in Villigen is being constructed as a state-of-the-art research infrastructure for materials science and quantum physics. With a focus on the synthesis and characterization of materials, the QMMC bundles research activities in one location. It will include specialized laboratories, including an ultra-quiet laboratory for studies under extreme conditions.
