The approximately 47,000 square meter Hardturm site is located on Pfingstweidstrasse between the planned stadium and the viaduct. Currently, a new piece of city is being created on the former training grounds: the Hard Turm Park with around 500 apartments as well as workplaces, surrounded by generous open spaces.
The Zurich office Gmür & Gschwentener Architekten AG is realizing an 80-meter-high high-rise building directly at the Hardturm viaduct (building field C). A hotel is planned in the lower part of the high-rise, condominiums in the upper floors. The high-rise project emerged from a competition held in 2007.
