Brauipark

The area development «Brauipark» in Affoltern am Albis transforms the historic industrial site of a former brewery into an urban mixed-use quarter. The architecture is based on three building structures that enclose a central, communal open space. From a technical perspective, the project consistently relies on resource-efficient materials: while the rental apartments and commercial spaces are designed as pure timber constructions, concrete solid construction is limited to the structurally necessary core areas, complemented by the sustainable use of clay walls instead of conventional masonry.
