At Luegislandstrasse 350/352 in Zürich-Schwamendingen, the residential development «Luegisland» is being built by 2025 with 34 rental apartments in sustainable timber construction. The five-story timber system building with CLT ceiling elements and HBV stairwell forgoes an underground garage in favor of an open, green-planted bicycle pavilion. The architecture by Oxid Architektur GmbH emphasizes privacy, optimal lighting, and harmonious integration into the garden city structure.
