Stone Church Cazis

The small municipality of Cazis in the Swiss canton of Graubünden is inseparably linked to the local Dominican convent, and several churches shape the image of the village of 1600 inhabitants. Around the year 700, a noble women's foundation was established here - today the church tradition is continued in a modern building that has attracted attention far beyond the canton's borders. After years of turmoil, architect changes, temporary construction stops and cost overruns, it was recently handed over for its intended purpose.
