The «Werkstädtli» area development emerging on the edge of Sursee's old town transforms a former industrial area at Münsterstrasse 7 into a mixed-use residential quarter. The block-edge, urban architecture is based on a sustainable overall concept according to the SIA Energy Efficiency Path 2040. From a technical perspective, the load-bearing structure is characterized by the first-time, large-scale use of a resource-efficient, CO₂-reduced concrete, in which additional emissions are directly bound through added biochar.
