The new Hauterive school complex (NE), designed by Atelier Berchier, embodies contemporary architecture combining functionality and sustainability. Composed of two buildings with distinct heights and orientations, the project integrates harmoniously into the landscape by following the hillside and offering views of Lake Neuchâtel. The prefabricated reinforced concrete facades incorporate elements of local yellow stone, thus preserving regional heritage. From a technical standpoint, the complex aims for Minergie-P certification, with natural ventilation, photovoltaic panels on the roof, and connection to district heating. The collection of rainwater for outdoor irrigation also demonstrates the project's ecological commitment.
