The city hall on Bern's Hodlerstrasse (built in 1896) is being completely renovated and rebuilt. The planned construction work includes the following areas: renovation of the building envelope, renewal of building systems, adaptation of the building structure to current standards and requirements for earthquake and fire safety. Additionally, greater homogeneity is expected with regard to the architectural form of the existing building.
