Hotel Astoria Lucerne
The new Hotel Astoria consists of three buildings, in the center of which gigantic glacier crevasses made of mirrored glass gape open. They extend from the ground floor to the eighth floor and are an incomparable eye-catcher. But the crevasses and glass facade are of course far more than just spectacular showmanship.
For the "Astoria" Annex, Herzog de Meuron also designed the modern, all-white interior of the rooms with noble wooden floors. From the furniture program to the lamps to the generously designed bathrooms with walk-in showers, everything bears their signature.
