The mandate for this building (built 1957) was to convert it so that the Zurich City Police could use most of the building for the next 2-3 years.
Throughout the building, a new emergency lighting system with rescue signs and emergency exit lights (LED) was installed to comply with fire safety regulations.
On the ground floor, a former storage area was converted into holding cells and interview rooms.
The entire police-used section was executed according to STAPO's security-relevant specifications. Similarly, the IT and telephone systems.
W-LAN transmitters were installed in the basement.
Also in the basement, a special construction with CNS arms was developed, which allows batteries of special vehicles to be charged using permanently mounted chargers on the ceiling.
