In the Bern district of Rossfeld, the former ensemble of the Matthäus church community is being converted into the new Rossfeld Children's House. The renovation includes the church community building and the parsonage, which will provide space for a daycare center with three groups, a basic level class, day care services, and the public library. A new intermediate structure connects the buildings and creates additional space. The energy renovation is carried out according to the Minergie-Eco standard, including district heating connection and photovoltaic systems. The construction loan of 16.1 million francs was approved in June 2024.
