Pedagogical University of Schwyz

With the groundbreaking ceremony on January 26, 2005, construction work begins on the new building of the Pedagogical University of Applied Sciences (PHZ). The contract with the general contractor has been signed and the building permits are in place. Initial preparation work for the construction site access has been completed.

The realization of the construction project in Goldau enables the canton of Schwyz to establish one of three branch schools in Central Switzerland for teacher training and to operate it from autumn 2006 onwards. With the Schwyz branch school, the canton actively influences future teacher training and continues a long and successful tradition. The Goldau location offers good accessibility by public transport. The proximity to the vocational school creates synergies in space utilization and the operation of outdoor sports facilities for both schools and recreational sports.
