Five terraced family houses will be constructed surrounding the building plot and forming a spacious inner courtyard of 835 square meters. The playground there will be publicly accessible and will enliven the courtyard accordingly.
The houses will be clad with a ventilated wood facade, with the wood sourced from the local citizens' forest. Each building will be clad with either spruce, fir, Douglas fir, larch, or pine. The wood will be arranged alternately in light or dark tones to emphasize the different colors of the trees.
Heating is provided by heat pumps, and in summer the houses are slightly cooled. A photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof of the largest of the five buildings. Minergie standards will be met.
