With the new Sihlbogen project, the Zurich housing cooperative Zurlinden is meeting the highest standards in terms of sustainable and energy-efficient construction.
Two slab buildings on sub-area B at the riverside and an elongated courtyard building on sub-area A combine at this demanding location to form a unified urban design figure. The winning project fulfills the sustainability requirements in the spirit of the 2000-watt society to a very high degree.
The two residential buildings on area B, which will be realized in phase I, have intelligent floor plans with high residential quality. Their layout is derived from the specific context – with the river side in the east and the street side in the west. The outdoor space is characterized by naturally designed areas towards the Sihl. On the street side, the spacious design creates openness and a connection to the neighborhood.
