The Bündner Kunstmuseum at Postplatz in Chur is being expanded.
Estudio Barozzi Veiga from Barcelona was declared the competition winner for the expansion of the Bündner Kunstmuseum by the appointed jury with their project "Die Kunst der Fuge".
According to the jury's opinion, the winning project impresses with its precise and clear placement in its architectural context. Well-coordinated spaces for the collection and an adaptable spatial structure for temporary exhibitions were also convincing in the functional area. The architectural firm Barozzi Veiga has already completed several cultural buildings and won competitions for art museums, including the one for the musée des beaux arts in Lausanne last year.
