The residential buildings appear restrained in volume through their projections and recesses. Access to all five buildings is via the courtyard, with 10 to 15 apartments per staircase having direct connection to the underground garage. The total number of apartments increases by approximately 35 percent to 139 units. Solid single-leaf masonry serves as load-bearing structure and thermal insulation, creating a pleasant living climate. Ground probes and heat pumps supply energy without fossil fuels, while photovoltaic elements generate electricity and Minergie standards are met. Some parking spaces are equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles.
