The Grisons Museum of Art at Postplatz in Chur has been expanded.
Estudio Barozzi Veiga from Barcelona was declared the competition winner for the extension of the Grisons Museum of Art by the jury with their project "The Art of Fugue".
According to the jury, the winning project impresses with its precise and clear placement in its architectural environment. Well-coordinated spaces for the collection and an adaptable spatial structure for temporary exhibitions also convinced in the functional area. The architecture firm Barozzi Veiga has already completed several cultural buildings and won competitions for art museums, including the one for the musée des beaux arts in Lausanne last year.
