The construction of a bridge and a footbridge across the approximately 100 m wide Aare is part of the project «Solothurn, Relief West». Reports on this were published during the construction period [1, 2]. Following the commissioning of the Aare footbridge at the end of 2007, the new 388 m long Aare bridge has now also been completed.
