Here, on the edge of Zurich's old town, the new High Court of the Canton of Zurich is being built at this historic location.
The High Court of the Canton of Zurich is currently housed in a historically grown building complex with a rich construction history, on the edge of Zurich's old town. For contemporary operations, the former Barefoot Monastery no longer provides satisfactory conditions.
With the extension and restructuring, operations are to be optimized, organizational processes simplified and improved; branch offices that exist today will be closed and integrated.
The ground floor library from the 1970s is to be dismantled.
The premises of the High Court of the Canton of Zurich no longer meet the requirements for contemporary court operations. Therefore, they are being rebuilt and expanded at a cost of 81.9 million francs.
- Five-story extension building to Minergie-eco standard
- Largest upper cantonal court in Switzerland
