For construction field E, the team Caruso St John Architects LLP, London, together with Bosshard Vaquer Architekten, Zurich, emerged as winners from the design competition and was recommended for further development and implementation. As an independent sculptural urban figure, the large-scale building volume maintains the balance between body and surroundings. The classical building articulation into base, street level, and tower structure convinces through its fine differentiation of urban uses. Through the clear staggering of building masses and heights as a dominant element towards Kanonengasse / Ankerstrasse, the new north-eastern plaza space gains a clearly legible centering through the triad of adjacent height dominants.
