The neoclassical building was constructed in 1838/39 as a schoolhouse and was expanded by a second full storey in 1889. In the meantime, various minor renovation and refurbishment works were carried out.
The planned renovation works include the installation of a wheelchair-accessible lift system, conversion and expansion of the attic space into staff offices and multipurpose room, thermal measures (roof, windows), renewal of installations, renovation of interior surfaces (walls, floors and ceilings), as well as renovation and painting work on the facades.
Construction execution from summer 2009 to spring 2010
