After more than 70 years, the Platzspitz weir will undergo comprehensive renovation to ensure flood protection and lake regulation. Technically, the old roof weirs will be replaced by modern sector gates that maintain the historic appearance without visible structures. Additionally, a new meandering fish pass for ecological connectivity and a new access bridge will be created.
