- This new hotel in Stoos described its concept as «eifach anderscht» («simply different»). Equans Switzerland planned and implemented the integral energy concept, the sophisticated building technology and the building automation from start to finish. One highlight is that the heating uses recuperative energy, which is generated by the braking of the Stoosbahn funicular railway.

- The car-free mountain village of Stoos lies on a plateau of the same name at the foot of the Fronalpstock mountain. The newly built Stoos Lodge boutique hotel is a fusion of urban flair and alpine beauty, and occupies a direct position on the ski slope. It offers 101 rooms, a rooftop sauna and gym, a play area, state-of-the-art seminar infrastructure and an extensive range of food options.
When it comes to digitalisation, «eifach anderscht» means that guests only pay for what they use. Be it services such as room cleaning, breakfast or childcare – everything can be booked entirely digitally at their leisure.

- The energy efficiency is also «eifach anderscht». Thanks to Equans Switzerland, complex tasks have become manageable. The new heating and cooling systems combine the highest standards, while special consideration was also given to the energy supply. A unique energy concept has been implemented here in partnership with Stoosbahnen AG: the braking energy from the railway, along with the waste heat recovered from various machines, heats the hotel and the domestic hot water in a carbon-neutral way. This clever system saves an unbelievable 41'000 litres of heating oil each year.
