WC facility at Steg/Fischenthal train station

On the SBB railway station premises in Steg, there is a public WC facility available for use by the population. This facility is used extensively both by train passengers and by the large number of hikers.

A vandal-proof and wheelchair-accessible expansion, which would generally be desired, could only have been partially achieved through the renovation of the existing WC facility as a solution. Therefore, the municipal council decided in favor of the more expensive option from Fierz GmbH, Glattfelden. This solution includes the installation of a wheelchair-accessible WC cabin in stainless steel construction with simple technology and self-explanatory devices. The installation of such cabins has proven itself elsewhere multiple times and can be realized even in the smallest spaces.
