The pioneering neighborhood project «Neuwis» in Winterberg impresses with its versatile, well-thought-out settlement structure. The architecture combines modern apartment buildings and traditionally designed buildings with pitched roofs as well as ecological wooden houses. Technically, the largely car-free neighborhood emphasizes consistent sustainability with a Minergie-compliant wood chip heating system, borehole heat pumps and integrated solar systems.
