The new data center building of ETH Zurich on the Hönggerberg campus replaces existing locations and will house modern server, storage, and communication systems. The sustainable construction consists of wood and CO₂-storing recycled concrete. In addition to energy-efficient cooling systems with outside air, a photovoltaic system will support the power supply. Ecological aspects are also considered, such as habitats for bats and reptiles.
