The Vocational School Winterthur will receive a modern new building starting in February 2024, to be completed by December 2026. The building comprises 40 classrooms, a triple sports hall, a cafeteria as well as administrative and common areas. The sustainable construction with timber-concrete composite and a PV system meets Minergie-P-ECO and SNBS Gold standards. The atrium provides natural light and recreational areas, while the connection to the district heating network increases energy efficiency. The new building consolidates educational offerings and optimizes spatial utilization near the Wiesental and Mühletal locations.
