The new construction of the Lenzburg continuing education centre (wbz) by Swiss architecture firm Hauser Architekten impresses with a sustainable timber-concrete hybrid construction method. The compact building structure encompasses modular educational spaces and a transparent, flexibly usable workshop hall with industrial character. Technically, it relies on high energy efficiency through a thermally insulated building envelope, photovoltaics and borehole heat pumps.
