The African Mountain was created for the following animals:
- Gelada baboons
- Nubian ibex
- Rock hyrax
- Blue-winged goose
Half of the 6,300 square meter facility is for the animals. As planned, construction was completed in October 2007. To allow the plants to establish themselves, it remained empty for one year.
