The Aeschbach Quarter in Aarau at Industriestrasse 28 is a modern, mixed-use urban district being developed on the former industrial site Torfeld Süd. It combines residential, work, commercial, and cultural spaces in a sustainably designed environment. It spans 55,000 sqm and includes 259 apartments as well as workplaces for around 1,000 employees. The area was once an important industrial site (including factories by F. Aeschbach and Rockwell Automation). After industrial decline, real estate company Mobimo acquired large parts of the site and initiated its transformation.
