ETH Zurich realized the new laboratory and research building HPL Life Science Platform here. The commissioning of the new building in 2012 will give ETH Zurich a competitive advantage in the international competition among universities.
Medical and biological research activities are to be strengthened and the Life Sciences field expanded with high-quality, state-of-the-art equipment. The Life Science Platform will have a floor area of 21,700 m² and provide space for 400 employees.
The new building will additionally enable spaces for spin-offs and thus significantly strengthen the connection to business and technology transfer.
