Zurich Airport is Switzerland's largest airport by number of passengers handled. It is operated by the eponymous Zurich Airport AG, which operated under the brand name Unique until April 2010. In 2009, it was voted the best airport in Europe by over eight million travelers in the Skytrax survey; worldwide, it ranked 4th. In 2010, the airport received the World Travel Award for the seventh consecutive time in the category "leading airport in Europe".
The airport terminal is located 13 kilometers north of the center of the city of Zurich in the municipality of Kloten; the airport area extends beyond this to the municipalities of Opfikon, Rümlang, Oberglatt and Winkel.
